Diaspora North is a free community service from DVG Systems (1000089562 Ontario Inc., operating as DVG Systems) in Thunder Bay, Ontario. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Information, not advice
Our guides explain things in plain language to help you get started. They are general information, not legal, immigration, medical or financial advice. Rules, fees and phone numbers change, so always confirm details with the official source before you act. For advice about your own situation, speak to a licensed professional. In an emergency, call 911.
The AI assistant
The AI assistant writes its answers with artificial intelligence. Answers can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important with the official source, and don't type private details into it. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your questions.
The business directory
Listings describe local businesses and services. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee, and any deal you make with a business is between you and that business. Featured listings are paid and labelled Featured; listings labelled From our publisher belong to DVG Systems.
What you send us
Please send only information that is true and that you have the right to share. If you send us a story, resource or business listing to publish, you allow us to edit it for length and clarity and to publish it on Diaspora North. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
Using the site fairly
Please don't use the site or its forms to send spam, harass anyone, break the law, or try to disrupt or break the site or the AI assistant.
Our content and other sites
The text and design of this site belong to DVG Systems unless noted otherwise. You're welcome to share links to our pages. Photos are used under the licences listed on our Photo credits page. We link to other websites to help you; we don't control them and aren't responsible for what they say.
Limits on our responsibility
We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it as it is, without promises that it is complete, current or error-free. To the extent the law allows, DVG Systems is not responsible for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on it.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
